Charlie Pulliam Killed.

Charlie Pulliam, a negro man who worked at the Fertilizer factory, was shot and almost instantly killed by his son, Will, Saturday night about ten o'clock at his home on North Spring Street.

Charlie had beat up his wife and when this fact was reported to his son the latter went home and got a gun and shot his father. The boy then ran away but later went to Mayfield Reese and surrendered himself. He was placed in jail.

A preliminary hearing was had before Esquire Ritter at the court house Tuesday afternoon. From the evidence adduced the justice held the boy to await the action of the grand jury. The boy's mother and Will Augustus were also arrested following the trial and will be given a hearing before Mr. Ritter.
