Terrible Accident in New Haven.
A Man Blown to Atoms.
New Haven, April 17. While John Donahue was mixing the ingredients of the fulminate used in percussion caps and cartridges in a small building connected with the Winchester Arms factory this forenoon, an explosion blew him into small pieces, portions being carried 100 feet. The heart was torn from the trunk and thrown considerable distance, but was beating when picked up. No one else was injured. Donohue has mixed the fulminate for 18 years.
