for School
FLETCHER. Feb. 11. - The scholastic honors for the senior class of the Fletcher high school have been announced. The highest honor was won by Hazel Whitaker of Fletcher, and she will be valedictorian of the class. Mary Youngblood will be salutatorian.
Third honors were won by Louise Cunningham, who will read the class history. Robert O. Byers was fourth highest.
A National Honorary Beta club has been organized at the Fletcher high school. The object of the club is to develop scholastic excellence and high ideals of character. Only those who have attained the highest scholastic standards are eligible to membership.
The seniors in the Fletcher school who have won this honor besides the four honor graduates are: Reva Baker, O. K. Sizemore, Lucile Souther, and Mildred Cogdill. The juniors who are eligible for membership are: Ruth Gladden, Lillian Phipps, Carolyn Fishburne, Blanche Williams, Myrtle McMinn, Evelyn Bowen, Howard Wilkie, and Harold Brackett.
