COLLAR BUTTON KILLS BOY

Seven-Year-Old Youth Swallows Object and Chokes to Death

While Arraying Himself in His Easter Clothing

Philadelphia, April 22.—While preparing to appear at a celebration in the Sunday school of the Kensington Congregational Church yesterday, Leonard B. Marsden, 7 years old, swallowed a collar button and choked to death. The boy was to have taken a prominent part in the Easter exercises of the Sunday school where he was to have recited a poem, entitled "Our Boy Has Joined the Colors."

Agnes, his sister, 13 years old, found him lying on the floor of his room, groaning in agony. His parents, Thomas and Elizabeth, picked the boy up and ran two squares to Kensington avenue, where they boarded a trolley car and were rushed to the Episcopal Hospital. The boy died a few minutes after reaching the institution.
