Mayor Is Arrested.
Terre Haute Executive Is Charged with Election Frauds.
Terre Haute, Ind., Jan. 17—Mayor Doon M. Roberts of this city was arrested tonight on indictments charging him with bribery, conspiracy to commit fraud and stuffing ballot boxes. The indictments, returned late today by a special grand jury empaneled to investigate election fraud charges, are based on alleged acts of Roberts during the election of 1912.
Roberts was arrested and his bond fixed at $5,000, which he later gave.
