MINING ASSOCIATION
IS FORMED
On the basis of a report made by a committee appointed several days ago, the Central Arizona Mining association was organized Thursday night at Prescott.
The committee which was appointed last week by Bert Tilton, mayor of Prescott, was presented with a statement from him which read as follows:
"Prescott is the center of a large mining district, one of the largest in the United States. In fact, it was mining that built Prescott. There is an increasing demand now for gold properties which may be developed. I believe we should have an organization which would bring such investment to this region, to the benefit of every one concerned."
The committee's report outlined the purpose of the new organization as embodying the following factors:
"To solicit the support and co-operation of all other civic bodies, and to act in conjunction and co-operation with such civic bodies to advertise, encourage and promote the development and operation of the mineral resources; to collect and distribute to the members matters of information and education pertaining to the development and operations in mining productions; to invite and encourage the investment of capital."
