New York, Oct. 20.- Imposing services marked the final entombment today of Bishop Henry C. Potter of the Episcopal diocese of New York, who died last July at his home in Cooperstown. A great crowd assembled for the services this morning in Grace church, the first parish in which the bishop officiated in New York and where twenty-five years ago today he was consecrated.
Following the services in Grace church, which were conducted by Bishop Greer, the final service took place in the new Cathedral of St. John the Divine, at Morningside Heights, where the body was placed in the crypt. The cathedral, which it is expected will require nearly one hundred years to complete, was the conception of Bishop Potter and will be his chief monument.
