Earthquake at Maracaibo, and Great Loss of Property.—Capt. Warner, of the barque Irma, at Philadelphia, from Maracaibo 13th ult., reports that on the 3d ult., a violent shock of an earthquake, which lasted for seven seconds, took place at Maracaibo, razing to the ground many beautiful buildings, and injuring others to such an extent as to become perfectly valueless. The loss the city sustained was estimated at least $200,000, and fortunately, though miraculous to relate, only one life (a female) was lost.
