TOMB OF SPIRITUAL LEADER VERIGIN IS BLASTED, THIRD TIME

NELSON, B. C., April 19.-(AP)-A hole 10 feet deep and 25 feet across was blasted yesterday in the tomb of Peter (The Lordly) Verigin, former spiritual leader of the Doukhobor sect.

Provincial police who reported the incident, said an investigation is being made in the surrounding district.

The tomb is located at Brilliant, B. C. 26 miles west of here.

It is the third attack on the tomb since 1944 when the burial place was left in ruins.

Verigin himself died of a dynamite explosion aboard a train in 1924.
