Full Text

Our General Assembly makes haste very slowly with the work of legislation, and the usual accumulation of important matters to be rushed through in the closing hours of the session seems inevitable. Some of the worst measures which have crept into our statutes owe their existence to this reprehensible practice, and a determined effort to avoid its necessity should be made by the people's representatives. In next issue of the Chief we shall present a condensed report of the work accomplished by the General Assembly during the second fortnight of the session.
