Full Text

From Corinth and Memphis.

CAIRO, June 13.

A gentleman who arrived from Corinth this morning says that many of the rounded hillocks by the roadside in the vicinity of Corinth, supposed to have contained the bodies of buried rebels, have been discovered to be the receptacles of guns and ammunition.

Our forces have discovered fifteen pieces of artillery and large numbers of small arms thus ingeniously concealed.

He says that the Union sentiment in Mississippi exists in the fertile imagination of newspaper correspondents only. They are decidedly for the Union of Lincoln greenbacks, and their empty purses, and no further.
