The Senate consists of 31 members; 3 federalists and 17 democrats are ascertained to be elected; and in districts 3, 10, 11, 12, and 13, which are entitled to the remaining 11 members, there is no choice.
The House consists of 151 members: the federalists have thus far elected 23; democrats 69; no choice 59; democratic net gain 17.
Democratic officers chosen in all the counties except Kennebec, Lincoln and Somerset which have elected federalists.
In 330 towns and plantations 17,932 have voted to limit the indebtedness of the State to $300,000, and 5027 against it; 12690 to elect the Governor by a plurality vote, and 12181 against; 12188 to choose Senators by a plurality, and 11377 against; 12447 to choose Representatives by a plurality and 11217 against.
