DRILL PARADE - MISS EFFIE MARTIN, director, physical education for Women, A. and T. College, Greensboro, N. C. will direct the colorful and mammoth street parade which will precede the Cotton-Tobacco Bowl Football Classic in Greensboro's Memorial Stadium on New Year's Day. The parade leader, graduate of Allen University, Columbia, S. C., holds the B. S. and M. S. degrees from Indiana University where she majored in health education. She is noted for her outstanding ability in arranging and directing glamorous parades. Miss Martin formerly taught physical education in Sumner High School, St. Louis, Mo., and the Fayetteville State Teachers College, Fayetteville, N. C. At the latter institution, she coached a woman's basketball team which won North Carolina State and Intercollegiate Championship honors.
