ST. JAMES's. The King has been pleased to appoint his Grace George Duke of Montagu to be Governor; Richard, Lord Bishop of Litchfield and Coventry, Preceptor; Lieut. Colonel George Hotham, Sub-preceptor; and the Reverend William Arnold, B. D. Sub-preceptor; to their Royal Highnesses George Augustus Frederick, Prince of Wales, and to Prince Frederick, Bishop of Osnaburg.
The King has been pleased to grant the dignity of an Earl of the kingdom of Great Britain unto the Right Honourable Thomas Bruce, Lord Bruce and his heirs male, by name, title, and style of Earl of Aylesbury, in the county of Buckingham.
The King has been pleased to grant the dignity of an Earl of the kingdom of Great Britain unto the Right Honourable Thomas Hyde, and his heirs male by Charlotte his present Lady, by the name, title and style of Earl of Clarendon.
The King has been pleased to grant the dignity of a Viscount of the kingdom of Great Britain unto the Right Honourable Robert Lord Trevor, and his heirs male, by the name, title, and style of Viscount Hampden, of Great and Little Hampden, in the county of Buckingham.
