Charity All-Star Football Classic

The Georgia State Coaching Clinic and the East-West All Star Football Game will attract college and high school coaches from throughout the state as well as Alabama, Florida, South Carolina and Tennessee.

Visitors here for the clinic and game will see the best techniques and fundamentals of winning competition as outlined by coaching staffs of Georgia Tech Georgia and Tennessee State A&I University

The football and basketball clinic phase will begin Mon, Aug. 18 Dr Hilliard A. Bowen, superintendent of Area I, Atlanta Public Schools will officially open the four day session which climaxes Thursday August 21 with the East-West Game A Z Travis, Georgia Interscholastic Association, will bring greetings.

The clinic will open with demonstrations by Coach Bobby Dodd's Georgia Tech staff. Monday August 18 Coach Wally Butts and the University of Georgia staff will be featured August 19 and A&I Coach Howard C Gentry completes the football phase on August 20

The basketball section will be conducted by Coach Leouidas S. Epps Clark College, and William T Greene, Morehouse Brown

IMPROVE OFFICIATING
R. A. Long is coordinator of the clinic and game which are designed to improve coaching and officiating in Georgia and provide lunches for low income pupils in the local public schools

Ralph C. Robinson is chairman of the project committee of the sponsoring Frontiers Club, a member of the national service organization of that name.

BALLOT FOR STARTERS
Atlanta metropolitan area football fans can ballot through August 17 for the starting lineups which will appear in the game Readers can mail as many ballots as they desire and vote for the East and West lineups

Alexander Shepard will coach the East squad The West squad will be guided by Raymond Williams who is expected to arrive here in a few days following completion of summer studies at New York University

ALL-CITY BAND FORMED
Lloyd Terry will conduct a 100-piece All-City Band which will appear at ceremonies leading up to the clinic and game

In ballots tabulated through Friday, Charles Hardnett George Washington Carver Vocational School is leading in the vote getting with 104. William (Budger) of Carver has 78 votes. A total of 1628 votes have been cast for the East squad The West squad has 1041 votes.

The player receiving the highest number of votes will serve as captain The school that polls the highest number of votes wil receive a plaque

The ballot totals will appear each week in this newspaper
