Extract of a letter from Trenton, October 7.
This afternoon a meeting was held, of some of the citizens of Philadelphia, resident here who taking into consideration the distressed condition of many of the inhabitants of Philadelphia at this time, resolved to open a subscription for their relief, and by way of example, 245 dollars were subscribed by those present; and more were expected, as many of the Philadelphians living here were not at the meeting. A like measure, it is expected, will take place at Lamberton, and Morrisville, opposite this place.
