FREDERICKSBURG, April 12.—We are gratified in being able to state, that the corner stone of the monument, about to be erected to the memory of the Mother of Washington, in the vicinity of Fredericksburg, will be laid on Tuesday, the seventh of May next, and that the President of the United States will fulfil his engagement, heretofore made to the committee, and be present on that interesting occasion. The President will be accompanied by some of the Heads of Departments, and will arrive in Town on Monday evening, the 6th May. We presume the committee will, in due time, announce the necessary arrangements.—Arena.
