Takes 18 Local Passengers for Seattle and Victoria
Few from North.
Arriving in port today at 1 p. m. from Skagway, the Canadian Pacific steamer Princess Mary, Capt. Sainty, sailed for Vancouver at 2 p. m. today. Eighteen passengers boarded the steamer here and about 20 were aboard from Skagway.
The vessel arrived in port north bound last Wednesday afternoon with five passengers. It left about 3:30 p. m. for Skagway but was forced to turn back after it had reached Marion light, owing to a heavy snowstorm off the west shore of Douglas Island. It remained in port until 11:30 p. m. when it departed a second time for Skagway.
Passengers leaving today for the south were: for Seattle Mrs. Edward Ninnis, Miss W. A. Krusey, Mrs. L. L. Harding. A. Matson, A. J. Sprague R. C. Kemp, Miss Z. M. Calder. J. J. Guinan, Thomas D. White. B. E. Elliott. Mrs. K. C. Talmadge. E. A. Lindman, Miss C. Murphy. M. T. Burkland, Paul Engberg; for Victoria - Sister Mary Anne, Sister Mary Joseph, Sister Mary Modeste.
