Full Text
Topeka is spoken of by the press of the state as "prosperous Topeka," "happy Topeka," "beautiful Topeka," and in kindred terms. The word "boom" is not used so often as in connection with louder-mouthed towns, but every part of the state seems to appreciate that the capital city is proceeding rapidly toward the greatness which is properly hers, and to rejoice that it is so. Topeka will always welcome her friends and entertain them properly.-Commonwealth.
Whoso speaketh aught against "prosperous Topeka," "happy Topeka," "beautiful Topeka," or in any wise taketh one jot or tittle of the "boom" away from our capital city as she rapidly forges ahead to the greatness which is properly hers, let him be suppressed.
