Ambrose to Act
On Pending Bills

Several bills which were passed last week by the Municipal Council, including proposals to increase the salaries of police officers, are expected to be approved shortly by Acting Governor Ambrose. Governor de Castro said before his departure for Washington that the bills, to which he had no objection, had been referred to Mr. Ambrose for signature.

The pending legislation also includes a new scholarship act and an act to provide leave with pay for not more than four municipal employees each year for study purposes.
