The Post-Office Bill.

Senators Wallace, Beck, and Booth, as a subcommittee on the Post-Office appropriation bill, yesterday heard the Postmaster-General, Second and Third Assistants Brady and Hazen, and Mr. Gurler, chief of the letter-carriers' division, in regard to the various items of the bill and sundry propositions for additions to the House amounts. The subcommittee agreed to recommend an increase of $100,000 for the free-delivery service, and made several other amendments of minor importance. No addition was made to the House item for the star service. The bill is to be reported to the full committee next Wednesday.
