Temperance at Landenberg,

A very large temperance meeting
was held by the Moral Suasion reform
club of Landenberg, last evening,
which was addressed by Young Murphy,
a son of Francis Murphy, the
great Temperance Reformer. He is said
to be quite as eloquent and pathetic in
his appeals as his father, and the meet-
ings are attended with great success.
About forty persons, mostly drinking
men signed the pledge last night, and
another meeting will be held this eve-
ning. Mr. Murphy has just closed a
series of very successful meetings at
Avondale, Chester County.
