Frankfort, (Ken.) August 28.

We have been favored with a perusal of a letter from governor Harrison, (dated in Vincennes,) to his friend in this place. The substance of which is, that about the 20th of September next, he expected to go against the Indians with a force of 1,500 regulars and militia. We presume the President of the United States, has determined to remove the Prophet, or at least to manifest to our Indian neighbors, a disposition, to correct them for their various outrages on our frontiers—The governor does not anticipate any fighting.

Colonel Boyd with about 500 regulars, has moved towards Vincennes preparatory to this expedition.
