School Bus Goes Into Side Ditch

BRAWLEY, Feb. 1.—A Brawley elementary school bus went into a ditch on the Airport road three miles north of here Tuesday morning.

Only one of the passengers suffered injury and that a slight one, School Superintendent M. V. Goudie said.

Geneva Price, 8, had a slight cut over one eye. She was taken to a physician immediately and the wound pronounced superficial. The school nurse examined all the children on the bus at the time of the accident and said they were uninjured.

Highway Patrolman Lewis Mitchell said the children apparently enjoyed the experience and chattered excitedly because their bus was in a ditch and lodged against a bank.
