WASHINGTON, Aug. 14.—Unprecedented obstacles on the part of
the Rules Committee impelled almost everybody but House leadership members to concede that the
Administration's Wage-Hour Bill is
definitely pigeonholed for the session.
The leaders insisted publicly that
they will not give up however, until adjournment.
The Rules Committee has kept
the bill bottled up despite 'terrific
pressure.'
