Full Text

Novel Religious Movement—It is said that Gerritt Smith, Beriah Green, and a few other spirits of that order, have lately been holding a meeting of several days at Oswego, New York, to adopt measures to break up all old religious denominations and organizations, and build up a new system of their own, to take the place of every other. They hold that all sectarianism is wrong, that there should be but one universal church, and that honesty should be the only test required to entitle a person to the rights of membership, and so on.
