ON THE TITANIC
Globe Man Learns Two of
His Kin Were Saved;
Others Sank
GLOBE, April 25-J. D. Wick, the
cashier of the Gila Valley Bank and
Trust company of Globe, had five cousins
on board the Titanic, only two of
whom were saved, and the other three
lost.
In speaking of the incident yesterday
Mr. Wick said, "I had five relatives
on the Titanic. I am afraid many
Arizonans will be affected directly
through the great catastrophe, since
there will be a great number who will
find out they had friends or relatives
aboard the ill fated ship."
"My cousins who were lost were
Mr. and Mrs. George D. Wick and
their little daughter of Youngstown,
Ohio. Mr. Wick was president of
the Youngstown Sheet Iron and Steel
Tube Co., a large manufacturing corporation
of Ohio.
