Markets at Laguira, on the 22d ult. very dull, & country produce (the new crop not having yet come in) scarce and high. To attempt to give a correct summary of political news, would be vain, so vague and contradictory is it, and there are so many brains at work, that the morning is sure to give the lie to the report of the preceding evening. It appears to be ascertained, that Morales has marched from Maracaibo, with troops, (God knows how many) towards Coro, and many apprehend an attack on Caracas. Morales has published a most horrible proclamation, condemning to the gallows, or some worse machine, (all strangers found aiding in any way the patriot cause, even as merchants) residing in the country, on which the governor of Curacoa has remarked with considerable acrimony.
