A party of well known miners left on the Victoria on Sunday en route to Norway. In the party were Ole Hansen, R. Wick, Iver Iverson, Ole Raap and W. Seppola. Their destination is Finmaarken, where a discovery of placer gold is reported. Indeed placer gold was found there 50 years ago, but the industry has never been prosecuted to any extent, because chiefly of the people's lack of experience in that kind of mining. Mr. Hansen believes it will be a paying proposition and his visit to Finmaarken, which is his old home, is primarily for the purpose of investigating the gold placer deposits.
