LABORERS KILLED

LYONS, France. Nov. 14. (AP) - Three workmen were injured by falling masonry as they labored on Fouviere Hills in an effort to dig out scores of persons buried yesterday under debris from an overwhelming land slide. Authorities decided late today to use dynamite to demolish the rock walls and buildings still standing in the zone now menacing the rescuers.

A wide area has already been evacuated but everywhere fear is felt of further slides. Only five bodies have so far been recovered, but it is known that between sixty and a hundred persons perished where they were buried by the first land-slide.

LANDSLIDES CONTINUE TO ENDANGER RESCUERS

LYONS. France, Nov. 15, (AP)

Tottering on the brink of a crater made by landslides, an old chateau hospital threatened to collapse today and bring overwhelming disaster again to the luckless St. Jean quarter near here.

Large cracks appeared in the facade of the building and workers attempted to reinforce the sides of the hill to prevent further slides.

Only eighty of the bodies from sixty to a hundred buried under the slide Thursday, have so far been recovered.
