Virgin Islands Moore In Chicago

CHICAGO (NNPA) - Judge Herman E. Moore, 65, a native of Chicago and judge of the Federal District Court in the Virgin Islands is on a vacation trip to Chicago with his wife. Kleda, an amateur painter.

Judge Moore broke up a practice of easy divorce procedure in the Virgin Islands several years ago, declaring that people who came there only for divorce residence could not obtain legal divorces.

He was a member of the Illinois Commerce Commission when he was appointed to the bench 18 years ago.

It is rumored that President Eisenhower is soon to replace him on the Virgin Islands bench.
