February 6 was set Monday as the date for the opening in the Santa Cruz county superior court of the jury trial of the $50,000 damage suit brought by Ernest Conklin and wife, against three Maricopa county officials-Fred W. Norton. B. M. Atwood and J. E. DeSouza. The case is an aftermath of the accident on the night of July 24, 1932, in which Ernest Conklin, Jr.. 13 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Conklin. was struck by a car said to have been driven by Norton. The accident happened about three miles north of Nogales on the Tucson highway and the youth died a short time after taken to St Joseph's hospital in this city. When struck by the Norton car the boy was riding a bicycle. The plaintiffs will be represented by Attorneys Duffy & Robins of Nogales and Young & McKinney of Phoenix, while the defense will be conducted by Attorneys Bird & Hail of Nogales and Dudley Windes of Phoenix.
