Extract of a letter from Faro dated Nov. 12.

"There has lately happened in Gibraltar Bay a terrible whirlwind, which did great damage to the shipping there. Two English ships were entirely beat to pieces, and many souls perished; a Dutch ship coming into the bay was overset, all the crew was lost; and a Spanish man of war of 74 guns, was likewise lost, with about 200 of her crew. The earthquakes in this country still continue; we had one the last night early in the morning, but God be praised, it has not done any damage."
