Negro Bishop to conduct prayer

Lawrence, Kansas—Bishop Matthew W. Clair, Jr., of St. Louis, will conduct the services of the Holy Communion at the sixth National Student Conference of The Methodist Church, which meets here Dec. 27 to Jan. 1, 1958.

Several hundred students, representing the Methodist Student Movement on scores of campuses throughout the nation, will attend this interracial conference.

Bishop Clair has been episcopal head of the St. Louis area of the Central (Negro) Jurisdiction.
