An interesting talk on the work
of the American Red Cross was
presented at the weekly luncheon
meeting Tuesday of the Brooks-
ville Rotary Club by Jas. A. Hep-
burn Field Director of the Red
Cross stationed at MacDill Field.
Mr Hepburn told how the work
of the Red Cross affects people
all over the world and emphasized
that 40 percent of the money do-
nated to this organization goes
into aiding the men in the armed
forces of the United States. He
pointed out further that the Red
Cross is the organization officially
recognized by the U. S. Govern-
ment as the contact between fam-
ities and men and women in the
service and each year millions of
service people are aided
by the
organization.

talk, Mr. Hepburn related
some
of his unique experiences
while
serving with the Red
Cross and
assisting servicemen
during
the
Korean War.
The speaker was introduced to
the group by Joe Johnston, pro-
gram chairman.
Walter Burt passed out tickets
to Rotary members for the public
dinner sponsored by the club on
March 6th with all proceeds real-
ized going into the Rotary Char-
ity Fund for Christmas.
