Andrew Haukland, candidate for county treasurer, has been a resident of Georgia township since 1887, where for thirteen years he had charge of the elevator at Labolt for the Northwestern Elevator company of Minneapolis, and upon resigning from the position the company in a letter regretting his resignation, testified to his integrity and good business qualifications, and stated that should he ever care to enter their employ again there would always be a place open for him. Mr. Haukland has been constantly honored by his neighbors by being elected to various offices in the township of Georgia, having been treasurer ten years, justice of the peace four years, and school clerk ten years. Mr. Haukland has always been an active, loyal republican, and in his nomination and election the county would have a thoroughly competent and honest treasurer to handle its funds and keep its financial accounts.
