Full Text

Some time about last August I was delighted at receiving a copy of the Herald, and thereafter I've received it as regularly as I did in the old home town. To say that I've derived much pleasure from it would be to put it mildly, for indeed, it is like a long letter from home; and although this country is delightful in many respects, with its fruits, flowers and luxuriant tropical foliage, its coral reefs, snow capped peaks, and withal eternal spring, a perusal of the Herald helps me to remember that after all, there is no place like Tennessee, the "garden spot of the earth."

With best wishes to the Herald and to Cookeville, I am most cordially yours,

ROLLIE DAVIS.
