Mr. Thomas' lectures before the Institute have been fixed for Thursday and Friday evenings of this week. Our knowledge of the lecturer authorizes us to assure our readers that they will be handsomely entertained at the literary banquets to which he invites them.
The subject of the first lecture is Oratory, with sketches of eminent American speakers, and incidental descriptions of life and character in Washington. For the benefit of the ladies, something will be said about female influence in that city.
The second lecture is upon "The Early Struggles of Great Men."
