Full Text

GOVERNORS OF NEW-HAMPSHIRE. We understand that our former townsman, Jacob B. Moore, Esq., (now resident at Washington City,) has ready for the press, the Lives of the Governors of New-Hampshire, from 1680 to 1775, to be published in form and style similar to the volume already published, containing Memoirs of the Governors of New Plymouth and Massachusetts Bay. Mr. Moore's first volume has been very favorably spoken of, and we doubt not the forthcoming work will be welcomed by the citizens of his native State. It will form a handsome octavo, and will be embellished with several engravings. The volume will embrace Memoirs of the following Chief Magistrates, commencing in 1680, when New-Hampshire first became a separate province:—John Cutt, Richard Waldron, Edward Cranfield, Walter Barefoote, Joseph Dudley, Ed. mond Andros, Simon Bradstreet, John Usher, William Partridge, Samuel Allen, Earl Bellomont, George Vaughan, Samuel Shute, John Wentworth, William Burnet, Jonathan Belcher, Benning Wentworth, and the second John Wentworth.
