Full Text

At this point the freight and passenger lines will join and then continue on the one track. In case it is decided to come up Green street to Garfield, the route will be out that avenue to Superior street then northward across the fields to the Sproat property where the junction is to be made with the freight line. This is one of the plans now being seriously considered since the capitalists back of the scheme have told the engineer to survey a possible freight line through the city.

The road is not the Wabash, states Mr. French and he ought to know.

This is the first time that any hint has been made that the line would carry heavy freight. This matter is not absolutely decided but it is thought quite probable that such will be the case owing to the movements of the engineering corps. It is said that the line may use electric motors for freight purposes and use the big type of interurban cars.
