DRUNK SOLDIERS GUARD CALUMET

REPRESENTATIVES OF THE DEPARTMENT OF LABOR SAYS CONDUCT OF MILITAMEN Is DISGRACEFUL

CALUMET, Mich., Sept. 15.—Special Representative Lennon, of the department of labor, has made the following statement to his department:

"Early this morning I saw several soldiers on Main street so drunk that they could hardly navigate. They were carrying revolvers on their hips and were acting in a most disgraceful manner."

Lennon will attempt to bring about a settlement of the copper strike.
