The message given by Elder Fred Parker, our guest speaker on Sabbath, Feb. 23, was refreshing to the heart of everyone present in the morning worship.
His subject, "The Love of God," was taken from I John 4:8 and Romans 5:5. Elder Parker said, Love spreads, it is not narrow nor is it selfish.
The love of God goes farther than just where we stand. The love of God shed abroad in our hearts will be shown in our homes, community, churches, and everywhere we go.
He said in order for us to have this kind of love we must surrender all to Jesus, and take up the cross and follow him.
The illustration given on the love of Abraham to God when asked to sacrifice his only son, caused real heart searching. Elder Parker is doing a great work at Carver Ranches where they have a building program for a church.
Bethany gave $100 toward their building fund. He has presently done outstanding Evangelistic work in the Pompano area. Lawrence Farrington sang beautifully. "How Lovely Are Thy Dwellings."
