Duluth Council Passes the Water Works Election Ordinance Over His Veto.

DULUTH, Minn., Oct. 12.—At the council meeting tonight the resolution submitting a proposition to buy the water plant from the bondholders of the water company to a vote at the general election was vetoed by Mayor Truelson. He submitted voluminous documents with his veto, but the council passed the resolution over the veto by a vote of 12 to 3. They tried to get the mayor to agree to approve another resolution setting the election for the last of November, but he would not. The proposition will now be voted on Nov. 3.
