NEW YORK. April 16.

Our last Advices received from above, are dated the 6th Instant, and are authentick, viz.

That John Johnson, Esq; Sir William's Son, has set off with about 200 Indians and Whites, to destroy the Towns on the West Branch of Susquehannah, &c. as many of the Delawares who have not retired farther South are collecting themselves to have one Trial for their Country which the whole Body of that Nation must abandon, if repulsed. There are 200 more in the same Service, under Capt. Mentieur and two other Officers; so that when Capt. Johnson joins them we may expect to hear that the Enemy have received their Deserts.
