Coolidge Receives Resignation at His Summer White House
SUPERIOR, Wis., July 7.- The resignation of Herbert C. Hoover, from the Cabinet, as Secretary of Commerce, is in effect at President Coolidge's pleasure. The resignation has been received at the Summer White House in a telegram President Coolidge has wired Secretary Hoover to stop off here as his guest when on his way to California next week. It is expected the President will follow the same procedure in resignation case of Hoover and Dr. Work, the latter of the Department of the Interior, which he followed at previous times, namely accepting resignation only when he had decided upon successors. Dr. Work resigned to take complete charge of the Republican campaign as Chairman of the Republican National Committee.
