"Man is capable of living on three moral levels of life: plant and animal, reason, and revelation," stated our pastor on Youth Sunday, Sept. 9. Scriptural reference: John 20:19-29.
The pastor said that, as flowers and leaves react to being away from their stimulus by fading and dying, so it is with man when he is away from God—our stimulus. This is the first level. Man's emotions react when things are out of the ordinary, often without reasoning. This is the second level.
Then there is the level of revelation, where God somehow lifts us into His presence, revealing His plans for us. This is the level we should all strive for. Even in our churches we have too many people unknowingly existing on the first level, needing the influence of God in their lives.
Music was furnished by the Zion Youth Choir. Next Sunday at the 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. services the pastor will preach on the subject: "The man with a thousand devils." BTU each Sunday evening at 6:30. Visitors are always welcome at the church of common fellowship.
