Full Text

Bauer who for many months has been in training at San Diego, Cal. It has been quite some time since I sent you a line to thank you for the paper and tell you I have been receiving it regularly at the Naval air station. I enjoy especially the letters and news from the other fellows in the service.

But the time comes when all of us must be transferred, I guess, and after nearly two and a half years of landlubbing, mine has come through. So if you will please change my address, it will be appreciated. (New address on the great waters of the Pacific). As yet I have not gone over seas, but it is just a matter of time. The only one from home I have seen since boot camp is James Sweeney. Seems none of them ever hit San Diego. I am looking forward very much to seeing my old buddy, Leo Fritz who is here at the marine base.

Thanking you in advance for the paper, I'll sign off.
