We are gratified to extract the following from the Edisto Clarion, which refers to our friend Captain Sanders Glover Jamison, for whom we entertain the highest regard; he is every inch a man of the right stamp, and his success in life will be to us a source of sincere pleasure. He is the only son of our esteemed and highly valued friend, Capt. V. D. V. Jamison. the present Commissioner in Equity for Orangeburg District:
" Among the names of those appointed temporary Clerks in the Pension Office, we are happy to perceive that of our young friend and College chum, Capt. S. G. Jamison, of this District. It is an excellent berth, and Capt. Jamison well worthy of it. We have no doubt but that he will continue to enjoy that reputation for honesty, integrity, and gentlemanly deportment so readily accorded him here by the citizens of his native District. May his new vocation and the atmosphere of Washington City. exercise a benign influence upon his health, and enlarge the sphere of his worth and usefulness.'"
