Full Text
If, in speaking of Wichita, the people of Newton ever did anything else we have failed to hear of it. That anybody here ever cared, we do not believe. As for the "money" and "real estate transactions" our people are not lunatics that they should have paid the register over one hundred dollars a day for months for recording bogus deeds of make believe sales. As who is to "fess up" we confess that any man who maintains that any town or city in the state ever showed anything like the amount of real estate transfers shown by Wichita the past summer must be either a liar or a lunatic or both.
It has only been a few weeks since Marsh Murdock visited New York city, and now they have the biggest "addition" craze there ever heard of; it proposes to take in Brooklyn, Newark and a large part of New Jersey.
Wherever Murdock has been you may look out for a "boom."—Eureka Messenger.
He is coming over to visit Eureka in a few days. Prepare to wake up.
