POOLE IS IN THE ALDERMAN RACE FOR RE-ELECTION

The opening gun of the city election has been fired.

The first announcement of a candidate for alderman to succeed the three officials whose terms expire January 1st, 1916, has been made.

Alderman J. E. Poole is a candidate to succeed himself.

As has already been stated, Aldermen Albert Harris and J. S. Bolton have declined to be candidates for re-election.

No other intimations have been made as to who will be the other candidates, but at least two others are necessary to complete the three vacancies which occur by expiration of terms.
